The names of the officers were also released. They are identified as Officer Ryan Stubenrauch and Officer Chandler Taylor.
The officers had been called to the area of 2600 S. Shackleford after a report of a suspicious person. It was reported that there was a man wearing a black hoodie who was armed with a gun. The caller further reported that the man fired the gun, and was last seen walking in the direction of Walmart.

Police were initially called to Shackleford Crossing around 2:45 p.m. for reports of a suspicious person in the area.
According to investigators, an armed man and two officers were involved in a shootout at the Arby’s parking lot.

Police spent much of the day dispelling rumors spreading on social media.
“Unfortunately there was a white male that was shot by two of our officers, both of those officers are white,” explained Lt. Michael Ford.
Police have not released the name or age of the man killed.
