Update: Police make 2nd arrest in West Memphis double homicide case

Update:

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — Reginald Smith is in custody.

The West Memphis Police Department reports Smith surrendered to Mayor Marco McClendon & WMPD at 2:30 p.m.

The US Marshals East Arkansas Fugitive Task Force, the ATF Multi-Agency Task Force, & the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the week-long operation to bring Smith & Stackhouse into custody.

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — A man is in custody in connection with a double homicide last weekend in West Memphis.

According to the West Memphis Police Department, Raheem Stackhouse was taken into custody on two counts of 1st degree homicide for the shooting in the 1800-block of East Broadway.

One other person was hurt when the shooting happened at an auto shop that doubled as a music venue.

Police are still looking for Reginald Smith in connection with the shooting.

West Memphis police, the US Marshals East Arkansas Fugitive Task Force, the ATF Multi-Agency Task Force and Crittenden County deputies arrested Stackhouse at 12:30 a.m. April 13.

Stackhouse surrendered to Marion police and is set to appear in court April 15 for a probable cause hearing.
