Water loss

News

Each time you get out of your pool you take a lot of treated pool water with you. Pools also lose water through evaporation. This can be minimized by using a pool cover and reducing the water temperature. Water fountains can also increase water loss as flowing or aerated water evaporates faster. Should you notice an extreme water loss, check the pool and equipment for leaks and consult a professional for any repairs. Regular chemical maintenance will prevent the need to drain and refill your pool. Cleaning your filter manually will not only be more thorough but save pool water. Prior to using your pool, plug the overflow hose to prevent water loss. Remember that playing and splashing will also send gallons of water out of the pool. Keeping these tips in mind will save pool water and reduce operating costs. Your local pool distributor can offer additional tips on reducing water loss.
