CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, Ark. – In 1998, a shooting at Westside Middle School outside Jonesboro left five dead and shocked the state and nation.
Two boys, aged 11 and 13, were hiding in nearby woods when they fired the shots that killed four students (Natalie Brooks, Paige Ann Herring, Stephanie Johnson, Britthney Varner) and one teacher (Shannon Wright).
Twenty years after the bloodshed, those affected by the incident are sharing their memories.
The teacher who died was Shannon Wright, 32.
