SEARCY, AR — Authorities in White County have arrested a man allegedly on the run after a robbery and shooting in Kansas.
Hunter Dean Bishop, 21, was taken into custody on Saturday.
The White County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) received a tip from the Kansas Bureau of Investigations that Bishop was in the area.
Bishop is wanted out of Rooks County, Kansas for Aggravated Battery and Attempted Aggravated Robbery.
Kansas investigators say Bishop robbed a convenience store and shot the clerk in the hip.
Deputies with the WCSO followed up on the tip, and found Bishop at Jaybird Lane in Searcy, where they made an arrest without further incident.
Bishop is being held in the White County Detention Center without bond, pending extradition.
The investigation is continuing.
