Woman Reports Assault in River Market Parking Lot, LR Police Seek 2 Suspects

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police are looking for two suspects after a woman reports being assaulted in the River Market district in downtown.

According to a police report, the incident happened just after midnight Friday in a parking lot at 2nd Street and River Market Avenue.

The woman told officers she was getting into her vehicle when she saw a man lying down in the driver’s seat. After the victim screamed, a second man got out of another car, grabbed her and held her down.

The ordeal ended when a witness came to the woman’s aid and the two suspects took off in a silver, early 2000s model Buick LeSabre (see attached photo).

Police say the steering column had been punched on the victim’s vehicle in a suspected attempt to steal the vehicle.

The suspects are described by police as black men in their late 20’s. One of them is about 6’1” tall and 200 pounds while the other is about 5’10” and 190 pounds.
