LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A woman’s body was found in a west Little Rock creek Tuesday afternoon. She is believed to be a victim of the recent flooding, the Little Rock Police Department said.
Rock Creek is near the 11000 block of Birchwood Drive.
The Little Rock Fire Department said the woman’s body was found in shallow water near the edge of the creek.
The LRPD said they believe the woman had been living in a tent with her husband when the floodwaters swept them away. The husband was rescued from flooding April 30.
A helicopter and volunteer kayakers have been scouring the area for the woman since she went missing April 30.
