Are you experienced Journeyman Lineman or looking to start a career as a Lineman? North Little Rock Electric is looking for Journeyman Linemen paying $33.23 per hour and entry level Ground Assistants paying $14.93 per hour to perform construction, maintenance, and repair on electrical distribution lines and related equipment.
A Class B Commercial Driver's License and good driving record are required and must be maintained throughout employment. Must be able to operate bucket truck, pickup truck, line truck, and backhoe or trencher.
The employee is regularly required to lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds, is frequently required to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds and is occasionally required to lift or move items up to 100 pounds.
The specific duties of each position are:
The Journeyman Lineman essential functions are to maintain overhead and underground 13.8KV distribution, sub-transmission 69KV, and transmission 115KV lines, constructs and/or install new, updated, or modified services, trains apprentice Linemen, and responds to emergency calls.
The entry level Ground Assistant essential functions are to assists the Lineman on the pole, assists in erecting, loading, and unloading poles, handles construction materials, assists with installations, cleans and cuts right-of-way for distribution lines and other duties as assigned. The Ground Assistant must complete a wood pole climbing training course with a passing grade within six (6) months of employment and maintain pole climbing skills until advancement to Apprentice Lineman I.
