One of the first players offered by Chad Morris when he got the Arkansas job was Fordyce defensive lineman Billy Ferrell.
However, Ferrell was injured and never got to get on the practice field for Arkansas. He has now entered his name in the transfer portal. He wasn’t on a roster released by the University of Arkansas this past Friday.
Ferrell, who signed in the early signing period in 2018, had 63 tackles, including eight for loss, four forced fumbles and two recovered ones as a senior at Fordyce.
He chose Arkansas over UCLA, Alabama, Wisconsin, Memphis, Colorado State, Louisville and others coming out of high school.
