On Tuesday, defensive line coach Rory Segrest, linebackers coach Vernon Hargreaves, secondary coach Paul Rhoads met with the media, alongside defensive ends Deatrich Wise and Randy Ramsey, linebackers Brooks Ellis and Dre Greenlaw and defensive back Kevin Richardson II.

The team opens the 2016 season on Saturday at 3pm against Louisiana Tech. After four weeks of fall camp, the team is excited to lineup against a real opponent, rather than themselves.

“It’s a great feeling,” said Wise. “I can’t wait to go out there and finally play somebody else other than my teammates. You know it’s been tiring just playing these guys. It’s finally good to show what I can do to the world and show what my team can do finally playing somebody else.”

“A lot of people are excited,” said Richardson. This is the first game you know. Everybody is trying to get their feet wet out there. Freshmen and redshirt freshmen, guys that are eager to play. So we are preparing, Coach B has been talking about 1-0. You know we are going to respect all, but fear none. So we are going to take it one game at a time.”
