Kansas State: Bend, don’t break

Local Sports
Dallas, TX – The stats don’t look good for the Kansas State passing defense.

The Wildcats rank 105th, allowing 267 yards/game.

Defensive Coordinator Chris Cosh told the media Monday that’s not a big concern.

“A lot of thing are measured on yards, but I think points and turnovers are 2 indicators on wins,” said Coach.  “The biggest stat we look at is winning.”

Just as bad as the ‘Cats are at giving up the big play, they’re equally good at getting the ball back, snagging 18 interceptions (tied for 8th nationally) on the season.

“They’re playmakers,” said Arkansas offensive coordinator Paul Petrino.  “They’ve probably given up some yards because they will gamble, maybe it’s a big play but they’ve made a lot of big play to set up their offense and made big plays to help them win games.”
