Butler County (Kan.) Community College Class of 2020 linebacker Juwan Mitchell has been offered by Arkansas.

Mitchell announced the offer on Twitter Friday night.

The 6-2, 225-pound linebacker said earlier this week this was something he expected to happen.

“They said they are gonna offer me the head coach (Chad Morris) just wants to see me,” Mitchell said on Tuesday. “It’s just a matter of if it’s gonna happen now or this weekend, but it’s gonna happen.”

Mitchell committed to Minnesota on March 29. He added an offer to Texas this week as well and is supposed to visit Austin next weekend.

Mitchell, who is from Middletown (N.J.) Mater Dei is a December graduate. In addition to Arkansas, Texas and Minnesota he holds offers to UTEP, Rutgers, Tennessee-Martin, Old Dominion, Tennessee Chattanooga and New Mexico.

He finished sixth on the Grizzlies in 2018 with 55 tackles, including 27 solo, 7.5 for loss, two sacks, an interception and one pass breakup in 12 games.

In addition to Mitchell, the Hogs are hosting Marshall (Texas) wide receiver Savion Williams, Athens (Texas) offensive tackle Garrett Hayes and Arlington (Texas) cornerback Jahari Rogers. McKinney (Texas) North tight end Brandon Frazier arrived on Thursday
