Arkansas has seven commitments as it heads into the Memorial Day Weekend.
They will be hosting more official visitors in the next couple of weeks after this weekend. In addition, they will have some camps on the campus as well as attend some in Texas and one in Memphis. On July 26, they will have several recruits on campus for a cookout. This event was a huge success last summer.
Here’s a look at five prospects who could commit to Arkansas in the coming weeks or months. Obviously this isn’t the only prospects they may sign, but just a random look at five who could choose the Hogs at some point.
Garrett Hayes, OL, 6-5, 298, Athens (Texas)
He has already officially visited the Razorbacks. He plans to take more official visits in the fall. Arkansas is battling Texas A&M and many others for him. Dustin Fry and Jeff Traylor have done an outstanding job on him. He and Ty’kieast Crawford would be a nice one-two punch on the offensive line from East Texas. Crawford, from Carthage, has already committed. Commit Probability: 60-percent.
Catrell Wallace, OLB, 6-6, 215, Bryant
One of the best recruits in Arkansas. Arkansas was his first offer. He could play outside linebacker or grow into a defensive end. Regardless of where he plays, Wallace should make a big impact. He now holds 10 offers with Oklahoma State the latest to jump into the mix. As a junior, he finished with 79 tackles, two sacks and three blocked kicks while helping lead team to Class 7A state championship. Commit Probability: 90-percent.
Martavius French, LB, 6-2, 240, Memphis (Tenn.) Whitehaven
An outstanding linebacker. He has been to Arkansas for unofficial visits. He was at the big March 9 Elite Prospect Day. This is the type linebacker who could come in and make an immediate impact in 2020. He has the size, talent and speed to play immediately. Alabama is expected to enter the picture for him. His offer list will be well over 20 by the time he signs with a team in December. Commit Probability: 80-Percent.
Brandon Frazier, TE, 6-7, 245, McKinney (Texas) North
He too has already taken an official visit to Arkansas. He said at time of his visit he was down to Hogs, Baylor and Texas Tech. Alabama jumped in with an offer on May 15. He would team with Allen Horace at Arkansas to be the two tight ends in the Class of 2020. In two seasons, Frazier has caught 59 passes for 936 yards and nine touchdowns. Also outstanding on the hardcourt. Commit Probability: 85-Percent.
Collin Sullivan, WR, 6-2, 190, Round Rock (Texas)
Justin Stepp made a strong impression on Sullivan when he offered him a scholarship at SMU. Since coming to Arkansas, Stepp has maintained a strong relationship with Sullivan. The Hogs currently have three wide receivers committed and adding Sullivan would be a huge get. In two years, he has caught 74 passes for 1,167 yards and seven touchdowns. Texas, Northwestern and many others have offered him. Commit Probability: 90-percent.
