Arkansas has made the cut for one of its top recruiting targets in Texas.
Mansfield Legacy safety Jalen Catalon announced his Final Four on Twitter on Monday night. The list included Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma and TCU.
He will visit Oklahoma this weekend and then take his official to Arkansas the following weekend. Joining him at Arkansas is two teammates. Enoch Jackson is committed to the Hogs and Taurean Carter is strongly considering them. Both are defensive linemen.
Catalon saw his senior season cut short with an injury suffered against Jenks on Aug. 31. The injury was disappointing for Catalon who is among the top prospects in the nation, not just Texas.
As a junior, Catalon was a two-way star for Legacy. On offense, he completed 61 of 116 passes for 1,120 yards, 15 touchdowns and threw four interceptions. He rushed 104 times for 919 yards and 13 touchdowns while catching one pass for 23 yards. On defense, Cataolon had 93 tackles, six tackles for loss, three interceptions, three pass breakups, one forced fumble and four recovered fumbles.
