One of Arkansas’ top defensive line targets is Houston (Texas) Cypress Ridge’s Vernon Broughton.
The talented four-star Broughton, 6-6. 285, released his top six schools on May 20. The Razorbacks along with Alabama, Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M and LSU made the list. He holds offers from schools all over the nation.
Texas may be hard to beat, but Arkansas is trying. They are hoping to have him on the campus May 31-June 2 for an official visit. He was at Arkansas on March 9 for an unofficial visit. The Hogs also offered his cousin and little brother as well.
Blessed to say my cousin Vincent Wells ’23 and younger brother Isaiah Broughton ‘26 have both received a offer from the University of Arkansas…🙌🏾#WPS #HammerDown @BroughtonBroth1 @yadiva71 #BroughtonDNA💪 #Blessed pic.twitter.com/m3qWjPnMaH — Vernon Broughton ll (@Broughto1Vernon) March 10, 2019
Broughton has already taken an official visit to Texas May 3-5.
Linebacker Likes Hogs
Stafford (Texas) linebacker Robert Wooten, 6-3, 230, has released his top eight schools and once again the Hogs are on the list.

Utah became his 20th offer shortly after he released his eight favorites.
Defensive Lineman Has Six at Top
Another player chose to release his top six while I was on vacation. Antioch (Tenn.) Cane Ridge defensive tackle Michael Reese released his favorites on Tuesday.
