According to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg, Arkansas defensive coordinator Robb Smith will be hired for the same position at Minnesota. Smith and new Minnesota head coach PJ Fleck were on staff together at Rutgers from 2010-11.

Smith, who was expected to take the defensive coordinator job at Wake Forest, just finished his third season with the Razorbacks. In 2016, Arkansas ranked 10th in the SEC in scoring defense and rush defense, while ranking 8th in passing and total defense.

Neither university has officially confirmed the move.
