Victory Over Violence

Terrell Talk: Is 6th Grade Football a Victory over Violence?

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A local leader in education has been brainstorming on a solution to keeping young kids off the streets.

Is football the answer, or should the focus be on grades instead of sports?

Dr. Fitz Hill, a member of the Arkansas Board of Education and former president of Arkansas Baptist College, believes his 6th and Goal Program is the way to keep young boys off the streets and their heads in the books.

The program has an emphasis on football. But Dr. Hill says the secret weapon is mentorship, discipline and trickery.

Is that what it takes to win the Victory Over Violence?

He answers the questions on Donna Terrell's new segment called "Terrell Talk."

Watch this segment as Donna interviews Hill about this program and gains insight on how and if it's working.
