In the aftermath of the recent severe weather in the Natural State, KARK 4 and FOX 16 are teaming up with Immanuel Baptist Church to help those impacted by the tornado.
WHERE TO GO
The City Center at 315 N. Shackelford Road is an all-in-one stop for those looking for resources in dealing with tornado damage as well as those looking to help.
Immanuel Baptist Church, FEMA, the Family Assistance Center and Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief are working together to offer the community support and resource to recover from the damaging storm.
City Center is open seven days a week, with full services 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with drive-thru service for food, water & toiletries from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. and weekend access from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
HOW TO HELP
You can help Arkansas recover from these tornadoes by donating or volunteering. Donations can be made online at IBCLR.org or at the City Center. Here are the items needed for donations:
- Baby formula – High Need
- Underwear (all ages & genders) – High Need
- Deodorant – High Need
- Laundry detergent – High Need
- Toilet paper – High Need
- Non-perishable canned foods (peanut butter, canned fruit, canned soups, spaghetti-o’s, applesauce, etc) – High Need
- Men’s razors
- Shaving cream
- Quart/gallon bags
- Baby food
- Dog food
- Reading glasses
- Pot holders
- Baby/kid toiletries
There is no need at this time for donations of clothing or water.
There are also many ways to give of yourself. There are two shifts of volunteers daily, and anyone who wants to join in the efforts can fill out the Tornado Relief Volunteering form so you can best be directed to where you can do the most good.

It’s important to note that when you come to the church building, if you’re serving at the City Center, please park in the South Lot. If you’re coming to the main building, you may need to park in the North Lot if there is not enough parking. We have a lot of extra vehicles in our parking lot right now because of disaster relief.
