Confidence is high that parts of Arkansas could see severe weather Monday, November 20th. This is going to be caused by an area of low pressure that will bring rain, thunderstorms, and cooler temperatures to the Natural State.
The Storm Predictions Center has circled an area where severe weather could occur Monday. Southern Arkansas is included in a level 2 risk. A level 1 risk covers the rest of the state. The highest risk for severe weather will remain south of Arkansas. There is a level 3 risk in Louisiana and Mississippi.
The risk is relatively low, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see severe weather. With this setup, there is a chance that a few of the stronger thunderstorms could produce damaging wind gusts, hail, or even a tornado or two. Be sure to be weather-aware on Monday.
